Essex County Clerk’s office released unofficial 2025 general election results for Bloomfield’s mayoral and council races. Jenny Mundell won the mayoral seat with 11,816 votes. Monica Charris Tabares, Tracy Toler-Philips, and Jill Fischman won council at-large seats with 12,126, 11,282, and 11690 votes. Rosalee Gonzalez won the First Ward council seat with 4,054 votes.
Essex County Clerk’s Office
Essex County Clerk’s office released unofficial 2025 general election results for Bloomfield’s school board race. Deanna Wilson, Andrew Lomonte, and Kerri Joyce won with 5,666, 5,242, and 4,970 votes.

Michael Venezia and Carmen Morales won the N.J. state Assembly seat in the 34th legislative district, according to unofficial 2025 general election results from the Essex County Clerk’s office. Venezia received 44,711 votes and Morales received 45,895 votes. They both have represented the 34th legislative district since January 2024. The district includes Belleville, Bloomfield, East Orange, Glen Ridge, Nutley, and Orange.

Christopher Durkin won the Essex County clerk seat with 162,468 votes, according to unofficial 2025 general election results from the Essex County Clerk’s office. Durkin has served as Essex County clerk since January 2006.

Rep. Mikie Sherrill was elected governor of N.J. with nearly 1.8 million votes, according to The Associated Press. Sherrill has served the state’s 11th congressional district, which includes parts of Essex, Morris, and Passaic counties. She will be the state’s second woman governor. Her four-year term as governor begins in January 2026.
