New Jersey employers must disclose salary ranges and benefits in job postings under state law that went into effect Jun. 1. The New Jersey Pay and Benefit Transparency Act applies to employers with 10 or more employees, including private and public employers. It also requires employers to notify current employees of promotional opportunities.

A new COVID variant, NB.1.8.1, is being monitored by the World Health Organization after a reported 518 cases across 22 countries, including the U.S., according to the Global Initiative on Sharing All Influenza Data. Infectious disease experts say the public health risk is currently low, but warn the variant could spread quickly. There are no active cases reported in N.J. Currently available COVID vaccines should continue to protect against symptomatic and severe illness from this strain, according to the WHO.
