Spectrum, Optimum customers to lose access to News 12, NY1 Jun. 30

From Gothamist.

Spectrum cable and Optimum customers will lose access to news broadcast channels News 12 and NY1 on Jun. 30, according to recent filings with the state Public Service Commission. The two cable providers will stop carrying each other’s 24-hour news stations because of an industry dispute between their parent companies, Charter Communications and Altice USA. Customers should receive notice of the changes and have the option to downgrade or terminate their service at no charge within 30 days of getting notice, the filings said.
