Essex County high school students can attend the county’s 2025 youth summit planned on May 24 in Irvington. It is from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 1240 Clinton Ave. Attendees will discuss ways to improve health initiatives in the county. Lunch is provided and community service hours are given to attendees. Projects exploring how N.J. contends with its past can be submitted to the 2025 N.J. History Conference until Jun. 19. Submissions should focus on ways N.J. protects itself from its past, how it reconstructs the forgotten, and the ways in which these histories affect public spaces and conversations. Projects can include workshops, individual presentations, and full panel presentations. The conference is scheduled for Oct. 30 at The College of New Jersey. Proposals accepted online. Add to 📅.
