From Montclair Local.

Montclair school district’s renovated baseball field is renamed in honor of Johnathan Ponds, former superintendent who died July 2024. He served as superintendent of Montclair school district since 2020. The school board voted in September 2024 to name the field after him. It also created a scholarship in his name, “The Dr. Jonathan Ponds Always Do Your Best Memorial Scholarship.”
