Essex County fire officials are monitoring Eagle Rock Reservation after a fire burned 18 of its acres this week, located along West Orange, Verona, and Montclair. The fire is now contained and there were no injuries or damage, officials said. Fire danger is high throughout the state, according to data from N.J. Department of Environmental Protection, meaning fires can easily start or spread from campfires or brush fires. There is currently no fire ban in place.
