Montclair police to collaborate with mental health professionals through ARRIVE Together

From Montclair Local.

Montclair police and mental health professionals will jointly respond to 9-1-1 calls related to mental health incidents through the ARRIVE Together program, township officials recently announced. The program aims to de-escalate crises and connect people to services they need. It was developed in 2021 with the N.J. Department of Human Services, Office of the Attorney General, and N.J. State Police. Agencies in Orange, East Orange, Irvington, Newark, and NJ Transit also participate in the program.
