Maplewood recently installed traffic posts, also known as bollards, along Prospect Street at Elmwood and Oakland to improve pedestrian safety. The installation comes months after a car struck two Maplewood Middle School students. Since then, the township hired a crossing guard stationed at the intersection and added temporary traffic cones.
