Ten of N.J.’s 12 candidates for governor to debate at Rider University Feb. 2 and Feb. 4

Ten of N.J.’s 12 candidates for governor will participate in one of two gubernatorial primary debates at Rider University on Feb. 2 and Feb. 4 in Lawrence Township. Both debates will be live-streamed and are not connected to the N.J. Election Law Enforcement Commission. The Democratic debate is scheduled for Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. and will be attended by Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop, Rep. Josh Gottheimer, Rep. Mikie Sherrill, N.J. Education Association President Sean Spiller, and former Senate President Steve Sweeney. The Republican debate is scheduled for Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. and will be attended by Sen. Jon Bramnick, former Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli, former Sen. Ed Durr, and NJ 101.5 radio host Bill Spadea. The 2025 gubernatorial primary is on Jun. 10.
