Free seminar discussing ways to navigate and prevent foreclosure planned by East Orange on Dec. 4. It begins at 5:30 p.m. at East Orange City Hall. The seminar is designed for homeowners, future homebuyers, and real estate professionals. It will discuss legal rights, financial assistance options, and strategies to navigating foreclosure. Registration is required.

Free Zumba session for adults planned at East Orange library on Dec. 4. It is from 12-12:45 p.m. Attendees should wear workout sneakers, comfortable clothing, and water. Chair modification available. Registration is required.

East Orange-area adults can attend a free computer introductory workshop on Dec. 5 at East Orange library. Attendees will learn how to use Windows programs and software from 4-5:15 p.m. Registration is required.

Gingersnap cooking class for youth in grades 8-12 planned by East Orange library on Dec. 6. Participants will make gingersnaps from 4-5:30 p.m. Registration is not required. The class is limited to the first 15 attendees who arrive.

New fences, benches, dugouts, and drainage and irrigation systems were installed at Monte Irvin Orange Park’s two ball fields. The infields were redone with artificial turf and the outfields have natural grass. A community center will open at the park near the intersection of Central and Oakwood Avenue. A date to open has not been announced.

Landlord and tenant seminar planned by Essex Vicinage Courts on Dec. 4 in Orange. It is from 6-7:15 p.m. at Freddie Polhill Law and Justice Complex. It will discuss the court processes for evictions, complaints, and the rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants. Registration is required by phone or email.

Free craft session planned at Craft Club Studio on Nov. 30 in South Orange. Crafting for all ages is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 122 S. Orange Ave. The studio recently opened and offers workshops and classes with a focus on fiber arts.

Drivers entering New York City will be charged a $9 toll when entering Manhattan south of 60th Street, effective Jan. 5. The fee is part of the Federal Highway Administration’s congestion pricing plan, which will use funds collected from tolls to support upgrades to New York’s transit system. The toll will incrementally increase in coming years until it reaches $15 in 2031.
