Post-secondary planning night for Bloomfield High School students in grades 10-11 scheduled on Nov. 14. BHS guidance counselors will lead the session at 6:30 p.m. in the media center. Families are encouraged to attend.

“Navigating Medicare” presentation planned at Bloomfield library on Nov. 14. State certified counselors will discuss changes to Medicare plans from 1-2 p.m. Registration is not required.

Bloomfield residents in grades K-6 can attend a Thanksgiving-themed craft session at the Bloomfield Civic Center on Nov. 15. The drop-off event is from 6-9 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to wear apparel representing their favorite sports team. Enrollment is $20. Registration is available online.

Open house event of The Greenway project planned by N.J. environmental protection and NJ Transit on Nov. 13 in Newark. Project updates are from 6-8 p.m. at Park Elementary School. Spanish interpretation available. The Greenway is a nine-mile former rail line through Essex and Hudson Counties that will be converted into a park with safe paths for commuters and recreational use. The Newark section will span 0.8 miles from Branch Brook Park to Broadway and is expected by 2025.

Prenatal breastfeeding class planned by Perinatal Health Equity Initiative on Nov. 13 in East Orange. The class is from 6-7:30 p.m. at 280 S. Harrison St. It is recommended for people who are at 32-26 weeks in their pregnancy. Attendees are encouraged to bring a support person. Fee is $50.
