More than 70% of Essex County voters chose candidate Kamala Harris for U.S. president in the 2024 general election, according to unofficial results from the Essex County Clerk’s office. Harris won N.J.’s electoral votes and lost nationally to president-elect Donald Trump, who served as U.S. president from 2016 to 2020. Trump’s second term will begin January 2025.
