Essex County residents can learn about available utility assistance programs on Oct. 21 in Newark at Essex County’s “Utility Assistance Day.” The free community event is from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Metropolitan Baptist Church. Attendees will be connected to programs that can lower their utility costs. Free parking is available.
