SOMA school board reinstates CHS principal Frank Sanchez, who still faces a simple assault charge

From Essex News Daily.

Columbia High School principal Frank Sanchez was reinstated on Jun.26 to his position after a grand jury dismissed his child endangerment charges. Sanchez was temporarily placed on administrative leave following a physical altercation that took place in 2023 involving a Black female student, according to the Black Parents Workshop, an advocacy group offering legal support to the affected teenager. Sanchez still faces a charge of simple assault, which could not be reviewed by the grand jury, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
