New Jersey residents must have REAL ID driver’s licenses by May 7, 2025, in order to board domestic flights, enter nuclear power plants, and enter some federal buildings. REAL ID cards are issued at a N.J. Motor Vehicle Commission licensing center or mobile unit. Applicants must bring two proofs of residential address, one proof of Social Security Number, and six points of ID. REAL ID cards are $35. Appointments accepted online.
