Newark to replace water meters with $22.5 million bond

Newark approved a $22.5 million bond ordinance to replace water meters with new ones that give accurate readings. The city received a low-interest loan to finance the project from the New Jersey Infrastructure Bank, a state financing authority. The project will replace residential and commercial meters.
