Free screening of “The Incredibles 2” for families planned at West Orange library on Jul. 12. The movie is from 2-4 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Registration is not required.

Program participants will be a part of the 2024 Montclair Film Festival and meet industry professionals, learn how to analyze and judge films, and receive free access to select films. Butterfly monarch story and walk for ages 3-5 planned by Essex County Environmental Center on Jul. 13 in Roseland. Participants will walk the center’s trails and learn about monarch caterpillars from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Enrollment is $40 per family or $12 per child and $15 per adult. Registration available online.

Nearly 2% of N.J. pharmacies are offering hormone birth control since the law removing the prescription requirement was enacted in late May, state data shows. Only 44 pharmacies out of N.J.’s nearly 2,200 are currently approved to participate with the new guidelines. There is only one qualified pharmacy in Essex County, where the population is almost 850,000, and it is East Orange Pharmacy, 60 Evergreen Pl.
