Maplewood library is accepting enrollment for its English for Speakers of Other Languages classes on Jun. 13 in the Hilton Branch. Registration is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. through Jun. 27 Classes are available for beginner and intermediate students online from July to September. Newark police seized the Gaza solidarity encampment that spanned 38 days outside of Rutgers-Newark’s law school. Police blocked roads to enter campus and used force against demonstrators while removing the camp, according to Newark Solidarity Coalition video footage and Newark police. Protestors’ main demands remain unmet, including: divestment from companies supporting Israel’s genocide in Palestine and termination of Rutgers’ relationship with Tel Aviv University.
