South Orange-Maplewood Studio Tour plans “Warren Court Art Walk” on May 11-12 in South Orange. There will be artworks by 25 artists from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Montrose Park Historic District. It will include live music, street food, and demonstrations of live art. Add to 📅.

South Orange recreation plans “AAPI Heritage Celebration” free event on May 11. The event is from 5-8 p.m. at the Baird Center. There will be a potluck, karaoke, and make-your-own bubble tea. Those interested in bringing a dish to share can sign up online. Add to 📅.

Registration open for Maplewood recreation’s “Mermaid Swim Camp” beginning Jul. 29. The program meets weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The first session runs through Aug. 2 and the second session is from Aug. 19-23. Admission is $400.

New Jersey Historical Commission recently announced the first 32 sites on the N.J. Black Heritage Trail. These locations include Site of East Orange Freedom Schools and Montclair Young Women’s Christian Association in Essex County. Each site highlights Black history and heritage throughout the state. More sites and marker installations will be added.
