Essex County Board of County Commissioners recently approved the installation of two new traffic signals in Montclair. One will be installed at the intersection of Watchung Avenue and Park Street, and one at Watchung Plaza. Installation work is expected to begin within the upcoming weeks. Residents have been expressing concerns about accidents and safety issues at the intersection, and a petition was signed in March 2022 to show support in addressing the issue.
