Rosa Parks Community School to host “Ladies’ Zumba Night” on Mar. 18 in Orange. The event, scheduled from 5-6 p.m., will feature a Zumba session for family members and students. Admission is $4. The deadline to register is Mar. 15. Add to 📅.

Newark public schools to host “District-Wide Hiring Fair” for elementary and high school teachers on Mar. 16. The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Science Park High School. Teachers in all subject areas are needed. Preregistration is required. Add to 📅.

Theodore Stephens II has been appointed as Essex County’s first official prosecutor in over five years, after serving as acting prosecutor since Sep. 2018 and being confirmed by the New Jersey Senate on Feb. 12 for a five-year term. Stephens is an East Orange resident and previously held positions as Corporation Counsel for the City of East Orange, a judge of the East Orange Municipal Court, a judge of the City of Orange Municipal Court, and Essex County Surrogate.
