Essex County College and Caldwell University have partnered for a five-year student transfer agreement. The partnership allows Essex County College students earning an associate degree in arts or science to transfer to Caldwell University with junior status, starting on May 1. It also provides up to $30,000 in scholarship money for the transferring students.

Elderly and disabled residents in N.J. are eligible for property tax or mobile home site fee reimbursement under the Senior Freeze Program. Applicants must meet certain requirements, including an income limit, for each year from their base year to their application year. Applications for 2023 began mailing out on Feb. 12, with an application deadline of Oct. 31. Payments for successful applicants are anticipated to begin in July.
