A federal appeals judge recently ruled that students at Rutgers do not have a “fundamental right” to refuse a COVID vaccine for reasons that are not medical or religious. The decision follows a lawsuit filed by more than a dozen Rutgers students after the university added the vaccine to its list of required vaccinations. A federal court in N.J. dismissed the suit in 2022.
