New Jersey Citizen Action to host a free, virtual “First-Time Homebuyer Seminar” on Feb. 29. The event, scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., will provide information on the home-buying process, affordable mortgage programs, fair housing, and avoiding predatory lending. Northeast Earth Coalition, a Montclair-based sustainability organization, seeks volunteers to participate in several community projects from March to September. Volunteers are needed for the community gardens, Earth Day clean-ups, food drives, and food delivery. There are also several public speaking opportunities. Applications accepted online.
