New Jersey residents can expect increase in average temperatures, more heavy rain and hotter days as average global temperatures predicted to surpass 1.5°C by 2030. Day- and night-time average temperatures could increase by as much as four degrees, increasing the number of days above 95°F by up to two weeks and making the heaviest rainstorms drop up to 30 percent more rain. World leaders are meeting this month for the 28th annual COP climate change negotiations conference in ongoing effort to coordinate a worldwide response to the climate crisis.
