Maplewood police seeks volunteers for the Domestic Violence Response Team. Volunteers will receive training to provide information and referrals for obtaining temporary restraining orders, find shelter or other support services, and help with creating a safety plan. Volunteers must submit to a background check and fingerprinting, be age 21+, and have transportation. Notice of interest can be given to the domestic violence liaison at the Maplewood Police Department by phone or email.

Bloomfield animal shelter is at capacity of its large-breed dogs and seeks adoptive families for dogs Sniper, Brie, Muffin, Biggie, and Venus. Adoption fees will be waived. Applications accepted online.

Interested applicants can attend a free session to learn more about the application process Nov. 21. This grant program is designed for mid-career artists and the deadline to apply is Dec. 12 at 12 p.m.
