$59M federal grant will go towards replacing or updating 11 elevators and 17 escalators at Newark Penn Station. The goal of the project is to improve rider accessibility.

Office of the Public Defender filed a lawsuit against the state police for allegedly failing to update expunged criminal records. 46K people have been waiting, some for years, for state police to update records that impact job and housing prospects. In 2019, the state police received $15M to update old data systems and hire staff to process documents within a reasonable timeframe. But the backlog has gotten worse, according to experts.
