Maplewood library housing event series continues with “AARP Homefit Guide” presentation on Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hilton Branch. The presentation will focus on how to make a home comfortable and safe for who want to age in place. This presentation is sponsored by SOMA Two Towns for All Ages. New Jersey Citizen Action is available to conduct free virtual or in-person workshops on fair housing rights and discrimination for local organizations. Workshops can be customized to respond to serve particular needs, including dealing with sexual harassment or discrimination against immigrants, Muslims, formerly incarcerated people, LGBTQ+ people, people with disabilities, and other groups. Workshops are available in English and in Spanish.
