Montclair Starbucks workers join Summit, Ledgewood, and Danbury, CT in strike over discharge of shift supervisor, call for better working conditions

Starbucks workers held an unfair labor practice strike in Montclair, Summit, Ledgewood, and Danbury, CT locations on Sep. 1.

The strike was in protest of the discharge of Celeste Cruz, a Shift Supervisor at the Montclair location. Workers demanded her immediate restoration and better working conditions.

The National Labor Relations Board is investigating Starbucks for failing to bargain in good faith. Starbucks has been found guilty of 161 federal labor law breaches and is currently facing prosecution for around 75 complaints.
